PHNOM PENH – The results of grade12 exit examinations will be announced five days earlier than scheduled, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) says.
The ministry had planned to release the results on Nov. 28 for Phnom Penh and Kandal province and Nov. 29 for the other provinces.
MoEYS said that now the results will be released on Nov. 23 and 24 respectively.
The ministry said that the change was due to the smoothness and speed of computerized scoring, grading and verifying.
A total of 137,412 candidates sat the Nov. 6 exam in 227 examination centers. Another 2,328 students did not show up, accounting for 1.69 percent of those eligible.
