Onion Mobility Cambodia Officially Launches ONiON Mega Station

Onion Mobility Company officially launches its ONiON Mega Station on March 17. The station is located on the 1986 street in Sen Sok district in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

With a vision and long-term mission to help improve the livelihoods of TADA three-wheeler drivers and promote clean and green energy in Phnom Penh as well as in Cambodia, Onion Mobility Company has officially launched the Onion Mega Station.

The event was held with the presence of H.E. Pov Maly, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Mr. Namsoo Kim, President of Shinhan Bank in Cambodia, Mr.Kay Woo, Founder and CEO of Onion Mobility, national and international guests, companies, partners and many other prominent guests.



Onion Mobility Station is equipped with some important features such as:

1. ONiON T1 Showroom for Sale Consultation 

2. Test driving of Onion T1 

3. Repair and maintenance services

4. and a battery swap and charging station

During the ceremony, H.E. Pov Maly praised Onion Mobility for its contribution to promoting the environment and reducing pollution, pointing out that many locally assembled Onion T1 electric three-wheelers have been now operating on the roads in Phnom Penh. 

“I am really happy when I have seen a lot of achievements of Onion Mobility in improving the traffic in Phnom Penh, along with the station launched in Sen Sok district and the three other Hub Stations. These are the efforts of Onion Mobility to achieve the vision and mission to reduce the cost for three-wheeler drivers and allow them to earn more income,” he said. 



Chief Executive Officer of Shinhan bank in Cambodia, Mr. Kim Nam Soo said, “Through this business agreement based on a strategic alliance between TADA and Shinhan Bank Cambodia, we look forward to expanding cooperation between the two companies in the Cambodian market and contributing to Cambodia's eco-friendly policy and development of the transportation industry.” 



 Co-founder and the CEO of Onion Mobility, Mr. Kay Woo said, “This evening, I am very pleased to introduce Onion T1 and the mega station in front of distinguished guests. And it is also a very meaningful day as I have imagined myself making an electric vehicle since I was a kid. Finally, I have come one step closer to it with my team.”



“After launching the Onion T1 electric three-wheelers, we noticed that our product gains a lot of attention from many drivers and hundreds of people. We understand this as a signal that Phnom Penh is ready to accept the new wave of electric vehicles through Onion T1. And I also want to say that the Onion T1 is the first vehicle that was made in Cambodia with pride for the first time. We truly believe that Onion T1 can completely change from the old to the new way of moving around,” he added. 

In addition, TADA Cambodia, in collaboration with Onion Mobility, also handed over the Onion T1 to TADA Outstanding Driver. Please note that TADA, a ride-hailing service company that is zero commission charged from drivers and recently has remarkable support from both drivers and riders.
