The Australian Education & Scholarship Expo is bringing 53 Australian education institutions to Cambodia to showcase study options and scholarship opportunities in Australia from secondary school to vocational training and postgraduate study level. The Expo will happen on 5 March 2020 at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra (Phnom Penh) and on 6 March 2020 at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra (Siem Reap) from 9:00 to 14:00.

To help Cambodian students and parents plan their further studies overseas, the Australian Education & Scholarship Expo provides the best forum for Cambodian students and their families to meet representatives from prestigious schools, universities and education providers from across Australia who will offer advice and guidance on study options, enrolment requirement,  study and living costs, visa application process as well as other academic and career opportunities. The event is organised every year by IDP Education, a world leader in international education and student placement services. Entry to the Expo and access to IDP’s counselling and assistance with study applications, are free of charge.

The Expo in Phnom Penh will be opened by His Excellency Pablo Kang, Australian Ambassador to Cambodia.

“More Cambodians than ever before are choosing Australia as their choice for international education – and I am proud to say that Australia continues to be the most popular English language study destination for Cambodian students,” said His Excellency Pablo Kang.

“This is because of the world-class educational opportunities Australian institutions offer – and the dynamic, welcoming and multicultural cities and towns where they’re based,” said the Ambassador.

He also added, “I am delighted the Australian Education and Scholarship Expo continues to go from strength-to-strength. The expo will be held in Siem Reap for the first time this year with Luke Arnold, the Embassy’s Deputy Head of Mission, giving the opening address. The expansion of the expo’s reach reflects the growing demand for Australian education in Cambodia.”

Representatives from the Australian Centre for Education (ACE) will also attend to provide advice on the English language proficiency requirements of Australian education institutions. Representatives from IELTS Cambodia Official Test Centre will also be present to advise on the registration and preparation for IELTS, a globally accepted English proficiency test. Participants can also practice the Computer-Delivered IELTS (CDI) test free of charge with support from the IELTS team.
