PHNOM PENH – The Cambodia U-23 football team will play defending champions Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Mongolia in Group J of the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2024 in Qatar.



The qualifier draw was conducted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on May 25. There were 43 countries present, divided into 11 groups, with the exception of group K, which only had three countries.



The qualifying competition will run from September 4 to 12. Group J will be hosted by Saudi Arabia.



The last 15 teams will take part in the last rounds in Qatar. These will comprise the winners of 11 groups along with the four best second-placed teams. Qatar will automatically be in the last 16 as the host country.



Saudi Arabia is the defending champion from the 2022 AFC U-23 in Uzbekistan, having beaten the host 0-2 in the final.
