Cambodia's Sitting Volleyball Loses Gold Ranking

PHNOM PENH – Cambodia has failed to defend its gold medal placing in the sitting volleyball event after losing to Indonesia in the semifinal.

Cambodia lost by 2-3 with Cambodia 24-26 Indonesia in set 1, Cambodia 22-25 Indonesia in set 2, Cambodia 25-18 Indonesia in set 3,  Cambodia 25-18 Indonesia in set 4, Cambodia 13-15 Indonesia in set 5.

Cambodia took the bronze medal by defeating the Myanmar team 3-0, Cambodia 25-16 Myanmar in set 1, Cambodia 25-15 Myanmar in set 2, Cambodia 25-15 Myanmar in set 3, on June 8 at Morodok Tech Elephant Hall 2. 

In the 11th ASEAN Para Games, Cambodia won the gold medal after defeating the host country, Indonesia.

In the 12th Games, Cambodia has collected 66 medals, including nine gold, 19 silver and 38 bronze, by the afternoon of June 8.

At the 11th ASEAN Para Games in Indonesia in 2022, Cambodia won seven gold medals, ten silver and eleven bronze.
