Samnang and Sothie still work from home. But the two friends still sometimes drive around the city during the day and the night time to observe the situation of this four-faced river capital city. Recently, the authority has implemented a temporary curfew between the hours of 8 pm and 5 am onto some of the less important outdoors activities. At the same time, people raise many questions. Between the lungs and the stomach, which one is more important?

Samnang: Eh, Sothie! What do you think about it? If the authority does not allow people to travel further than 8 pm, the sellers who open their businesses during this time will receive pretty much no income.

Sothie: Have you seen the increasing number of infections and infection-related deaths? More people are infected, and the death toll is also growing.

Samnang: Yes, I am aware of that. However, if there is no income, the stomach is empty. The stomach growls as you are hungry, you know?

Samnang: Well, you can just personally put it that way. However, now they have to think a bit more about the life of people. If the infection happens and the virus simply destroys your lungs, is there anything else you want to say?

Samnang: But if the stomach is empty and the person is dead because of it, what would be your response to that?

Sothie: I do not believe that, with this temporary curfew, people tend to be left with no food at all. People will not pass away due to hunger with this kind of curfew. I do believe that they might have some reserved food on the way with this kind of emergency. It does not entirely resemble what some people might say. The stomach will not be malnourished and die out. Well, the stomach might feel a bit hurt since it is unable to consume more nutritious food. However, for me, I do not think death can occur that easily. In my own opinion, I would prefer my lungs to stay healthy at the difficult moment. I might leave my stomach a bit struggling for some amount of time. When the pandemic is not an issue anymore, my lungs will be healthy. Thus, sooner or later, my stomach will become nourish once again, and the entire health of my body will be pretty ok.
