PHNOM PENH – Kimhar Amirul and his wife Joy Rendon Amirul flew to Cambodia to watch their son Kamil Jaser Amirul play for the Philippines during the 32nd SEA Games.

Kamil is No. 4 player in the Philippines’ U-22 football team. The team shared a point with the host on Monday.

“I am really excited and happy to see the crowd here. Cambodia’s hosting is really good, as it is for the sports. No fighting,” Joy said.

“We are really excited as we are the parents but we are really looking forward for the team to do their best, to show their love for the sport and for the country.”

Aside from being here to cheer for the son, Joy and Kimhar also went to see Angkor Wat. They flew here also for sightseeing.

“After Angkor Wat, we also went to see the Museum, because in between the games, we are trying as much as possible to explore Cambodia,” Joy said.

The family would take their time supporting other sports as well, including volleyball and women’s football.

“We will watch as many sports as we can,” Kimhar said.
