Foreign Residents Get Free Angkor Passes

PHNOM PENH – Long-term foreign residents in Cambodia will get a free pass to the Angkor temple site and Koh Ker temple under a new government scheme.



The pass will be valid for one visit a year and will apply to foreigners or investors who have been staying in Cambodia for two years.



The announcement by the Angkor Enterprise on Sept. I is to promote domestic tourism and provide incentives to foreign residents in the Kingdom. The pass came into force immediately.



Those who qualify include diplomats, international organizations, foreigners working in companies and all kinds of private enterprises, experts working in ministries, public and private institutions, as well as their families.



Foreign residents can apply online via the Angkor Enterprise website, spass.angkorenterprise.gov.kh, or apply directly at the Angkor Enterprise during working hours by bringing a copy of their passport, residence permit for two years or more, and 4×6 photos.
