Four Test Positive for COVID-19 at Cambodian Embassy in France

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has confirmed that two Cambodian diplomats along with two local staff at the Cambodian Embassy in Paris have tested positive for COVID-19.



PHNOM PENH--The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on Nov. 9 issued a statement confirming that four people at the Cambodian Embassy in Paris, France have tested positive for COVID-19.



According to the ministry’s statement, two Cambodian diplomats and two local staff at the embassy have contracted the virus and have since been prescribed medicine. They will be treated in their respective homes, the ministry added.



“The Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Paris is waiting for the result of another local staff which will be released today (Monday, 09 November 2020). Meanwhile, the Embassy will continue its normal function online through teleworking,” the statement read.



Embassy staff in Paris are working with French health authorities to assess the health of the diplomats and staff.
