Garbage service to be paid electronically from 2020

PHNOM PENH - People in Phnom Penh will have to pay garbage collection fees electronically from next year.
“Customers must pay the same amount due in October 2019. The payment method is that the customer has to use his ID which was on the electricity bill in October 2019,” a statement said.
Phnom Penh administration said people shall pay monthly service from 1st to 15th of the following month through electronically, such as banks or other payment agents. Which Phnom Penh autonomous excise solid waste management authority will now be responsible for.
Cambodia's government allows CINTRI to resume the operations of cleaning, collecting and transporting garbage and solid waste but without the right to collect garbage service fees.
