Hun Sen to attend inauguration of Indonesian president into his second term

PHNOM PENH--Prime Minister Hun Sen left for Indonesia on Friday to take part in the inauguration of President Joko Widodo into his second term. 


Widodo was re-elected in the national election in April this year to rule for another five-year term until 2024. 


During his visit, Prime Minister Hun Sen will meet with Widodo to discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation and issues of common interest, Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said in a press release on Friday. 


“The participation of Samdech Techo Prime Minister and other ASEAN dignitaries in the inauguration ceremony reflects the spirit of friendship and solidarity amongst ASEAN nations,” the press release said. according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation press release dated on Friday. 


Cambodia and Indonesia established diplomatic relations in 1960.
