Indonesia U23 Team Cancels Trip to AFF U23 Championship as 7 Players Tested Positive for Covid-19

PHNOM PENH--The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) Feb. 11 announced the withdrawal of the Indonesia U-23 team from the AFF U-23 Cup tournament in Cambodia originally scheduled to be held from Feb. 14 to Feb. 26.



The decision came as seven players and one official had been tested positive for Covid-19 while three players namely Gunansar Mandowen, Ramai Rumakiek and Muhammad Iqbal have been injured.



Indonesia was originally drawn in Group B alongside Malaysia, Myanmar and Laos.



The Indonesia team were due to arrive in Cambodia today. However, AFF is yet to react to this decision.
