Join the ADB Conference on Sustainable Solutions for Recovery in Southeast Asia

On 16–17 March, the Asian Development Bank will hold the third Southeast Asia Development Symposium (#SEADS2022) that gathers thought leaders, decision makers, and insight influencers to discuss new insights, innovative solutions, and policy responses that can help Southeast Asian countries rebound from the COVID-19 crisis.

As countries continue to grapple with the severe economic, health, and social impacts of the pandemic, SEADS 2022 will delve into how the region can revive the region’s once-flourishing tourism industry, address debilitating supply chain bottlenecks, and advance digital transformation for building back better.

The two-day event, which will consist of high-level plenary sessions, panel discussions and workshops, will start on March 16 with ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa delivering the keynote address, and government and business leaders addressing the audience. This will be followed by a high-level panel speaking on the theme of “Building Back Better through Inclusive Solutions” and the launch of ADB’s report “Southeast Asia: Emerging from the Pandemic.”

The first day’s afternoon agenda will feature six sessions on the conference’s priority topics.

On the second day, the morning session will start with speakers discussing “Revitalizing Tourism and Ensuring Cities’ Sustainable Future,” followed by one plenary session about “Driving an Inclusive Tourism Recovery in Southeast Asia” and a second plenary session on the “Future of Sustainable Cities: Mayors’ Perspective.” The afternoon program will include the launch of the ADB’s Sustainable Tourism Hub and partner deep-dive workshops. A Southeast Asia Leadership Roundtable by invitation only will also be held for government leaders.
