Khmer Enterprise Award Night

Phnom Penh on December 9th, 2022, Khmer Enterprise, an implementing unit of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, presented the awards to the outstanding entrepreneurs who won the three categories of Khmer Enterprise Awards. This event was presided over by H.E. Vongsey Vissoth, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister, Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund.
Khmer Enterprise Award Night 2022 was hosted by Khmer Enterprise, H.E. Dr. Chhieng Vanmunin as Chief Executive Officer, to celebrate the successful milestone of the candidates that have joined the competition in the three award categories namely High School Awards, Start-up Awards, and SME Awards that have been organized since the beginning of 2022.
As a result, the award winners are found in the following categories:
The winners of the Khmer Enterprise SME Awards presented to
- 1st Winner: Plerng Kob with a trophy and prize award KHR28,000,000 (~7,000USD)
- 2nd Winner: 400 Farms with a trophy and prize award KHR24,000,000 (~6,000USD)
- 3rd Winner: Asia L & E Co., Ltd. (Check-In Me) with a trophy and prize award KHR20,000,000 (~5,000USD)
- 4th Winner: PDAOV Market with a trophy and prize award KHR16,000,000 (~4,000USD)
The honorable Award was presented to
- Sela Pepper Cambodia with a trophy in recognition for being one of Cambodia’s most technically advanced pepper processing plants with an innovative in-house facility and oversea export.
The winners of the Khmer Enterprise Start-Up Awards presented to
- 1st Winner: FYFTH Coco with a trophy and prize award KHR20,000,000 (~5,000USD)
- 2nd Winner: AGRO Nature with a trophy and prize award KHR16,000,000 (~4,000USD)
- 3rd Winner: UNSEENTRA with a trophy and prize award KHR12,000,000 (~3,000USD)
- 4th Winner: SUDrain with a trophy and prize award KHR8,000,000(~2,000USD)
The Winners of the Khmer Enterprise High School Awards presented to:
- 1st Winner: The CO2 Converter with a trophy and prize award KHR8,000,000 (~2,000USD)
- 2nd Winner: B Positive with a trophy and prize award KHR6,000,000(~1,500USD)
- 3rd Winner: Synergy with a trophy and prize award KHR4,000,000(~1,000USD)
In his opening speech, H.E. Vongsey Vissoth mentioned that this is the second year that Khmer Enterprise is organizing the Khmer Enterprise Award Handover 2022 which aims to build a vibrant and thriving ecosystem to promote entrepreneurship in Cambodia. This event has coincided with the Kingdom of Cambodia's recent success in hosting the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits. This historical moment is a national prestige that reflects Cambodia’s steady growth and capacity to facilitate international affairs, especially in the last two decades toward a bright future under the wise leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia.
In welcoming guests, H.E. Dr. Chhieng Vanmunin stated that becoming the national platform for promoting the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Cambodia, Khmer Enterprise has designed many programs to benefit students, start-ups, and SMEs. In the past three years, Khmer Enterprise has played a facilitating role in creating and complementing the needs of the ecosystem such as searching for a complementary gap in the ecosystem, building trust among the stakeholders, co-creating new programs with partners, and increasing co-financing mechanisms to complement where possible to safeguarding the individual organization’s competitive advantage.
