Phnom Penh on December 9th, 2022, Khmer Enterprise, an implementing unit of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, presented the awards to the outstanding entrepreneurs who won the three categories of Khmer Enterprise Awards. This event was presided over by H.E. Vongsey Vissoth, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister, Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund.
Khmer Enterprise Award Night 2022 was hosted by Khmer Enterprise, H.E. Dr. Chhieng Vanmunin as Chief Executive Officer, to celebrate the successful milestone of the candidates that have joined the competition in the three award categories namely High School Awards, Start-up Awards, and SME Awards that have been organized since the beginning of 2022.

In his opening speech, H.E. Vongsey Vissoth mentioned that this is the second year that Khmer Enterprise is organizing the Khmer Enterprise Award Handover 2022 which aims to build a vibrant and thriving ecosystem to promote entrepreneurship in Cambodia. This event has coincided with the Kingdom of Cambodia's recent success in hosting the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits. This historical moment is a national prestige that reflects Cambodia’s steady growth and capacity to facilitate international affairs, especially in the last two decades toward a bright future under the wise leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia.
In welcoming guests, H.E. Dr. Chhieng Vanmunin stated that becoming the national platform for promoting the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Cambodia, Khmer Enterprise has designed many programs to benefit students, start-ups, and SMEs. In the past three years, Khmer Enterprise has played a facilitating role in creating and complementing the needs of the ecosystem such as searching for a complementary gap in the ecosystem, building trust among the stakeholders, co-creating new programs with partners, and increasing co-financing mechanisms to complement where possible to safeguarding the individual organization’s competitive advantage.
