SIEM REAP - American martial artists travelled back in time as they observed the many sculptures of Kun Khmer fighting positions in tight corners of Angkor Wat, Bayon, and Ta Prohm temple on March 29.

Accompanied by President of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia Thong Khon, who mentioned that Siem Reap is the homeland of Kun Khmer, and other dignitaries as well as a Cambodian researcher in ancient Kun Khmer sculpture, fighters from the United States expressed excitement and enthusiasm as they anticipated and saw the heritage of Cambodia up close.
The competition in Siem Reap on March 28, which included a championship match and several friendly matches with Cambodian prominent Kun Khmer fighters, attracted large crowds of spectators both at the ring and social media. The aim is to promote Kun Khmer and Khmer heritage to international audiences.
