PHNOM PENH: The Education Ministry has set Nov. 6 as the date for the grade 12 national exam (Bac ll), while the Grade 9 exam will be on October 2 and 3.
National exam papers will be marked from Nov. 11 to 15 and the marks will be calculated and graded by computer from Nov. 16 to 26.
Results for Phnom Penh and Kandal province will be announced on November 28. Those for the rest of the country will be announced on November 29.
The ministry has progressively reformed the national exam since 2014 to tackle cheating and corruption to maintain the quality of education.
“Those who have been studying and keeping up with the lesson will pass,” said Hang Chuo Naron, Minister of Education Youth and Sport.
Nearly 9100 students passed the national examination last year while only 72,016 passed in 2021.
Results of the Oct. 2 and 3 exams will be announced on October 9.
“No phone or electronic device is allowed to get into the examination room; if the student violates this policy, he/she will get a zero and be kicked out of the examination,” the ministry said.
