PHNOM PENH – Prime Minister Hun Sen will deliver a keynote address at a meeting of the Southeast Asian Sports Council and the Council of the ASEAN Para Games, which Cambodia will host from July 11 to 13.

This was confirmed by Vath Chamroeun, secretary-general of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) and National Organizing Committee for the 32nd Southeast Asian Games 2023 (CAMSOC) after the meeting of the CAMSOC Standing Committee on Jun 21.

Chamroeun said July 11 would be the official opening day with a key statement from Hun Sen.

Cambodia hosted a first meeting of the council in April in Siem Reap. Next month’s meeting will be the second and will finalize the sports and disciplines for the 2023 SEA Games which host Cambodia wants to include.

The meeting will also evaluate the sport infrastructure to be used at next year’s Games, including the sport village where athletes will stay.

Chamroeun said the hospitality offered by Cambodia will be acceptable to all because Cambodia has been successful in the past and has been highly praised and appreciated by ASEAN.
