PHNOM PENH – The Royal Palace is ready to accept tourists again after two years of closure due to COVID-19.



On Nov. 17, the Minister of Royal Palace Kong Sam Ol informed the Minister of Tourism Thong Khon about the reopening the palace from Dec. 1.



King Norodom Sihamoni gave his approval in a letter. The palace was closed to visitors in March 2020.



The Health Ministry said on Nov. 17 that there had been nine new cases confirmed through PCR tests but no death. The totals reached 138,039 confirmed cases, 134,940 recoveries and 3,056 deaths.
