SEA Games 2023: Southeast Asian Sports Council Meeting to Be Held in Siem Reap Next Month

Progresses and challenges on Cambodia hosting the sporting event will be discussed during the meeting in April



PHNOM PENH – The Southeast Asian Sports Council Meeting for Southeast Asian Games 2023 will be held in early April in Siem Reap Province.



Vath Chamroeun, secretary-general of the Cambodia SEA Games Organizing Committee (CAMSOC), made the declaration on March 24, following a meeting to prepare for the host of the Southeast Asian Sports Council Meeting.



“The Southeast Asian Sports Council Meeting for SEA Games 2023 will take place on April 9-10 in Siem Reap province under the presidency of Tourism Minister Thong Khon,” Chamroeun said.



Happening via videoconference, the meeting was presided by Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism and CAMSOC’s Permanent Deputy President.



The upcoming meeting in Siem Reap will aim to seek additional support and will discuss progresses and challenges for Cambodia’s hosting the 32nd edition of SEA Games next year.



Meanwhile, Thong Khon has urged for close cooperation among all key players to ensure the good process of the Southeast Asian Sports Council Meeting.
