TAKEO – The Takeo administration will hold boat races on Nov. 2 and 3 to celebrate the Water Festival.

The Water Festival, to be held from Nov. 14 to 16, is also associated with the floating of lanterns and the worship of the moon ceremonies which reflect religious beliefs.

By annually celebrating the festival, Takeo province aims to preserve the tradition and culture of the celebration and to create entertainment for local people.

There will also be a food exhibition under the One Village One Product movement, concerts, performances and fireworks at night.

Last year, the festival attracted more than 6.39 million tourists across the country, of which 73,000 were foreign.
