Tourism Events’ Preparations Gather Strength

PHNOM PENH – An inter-ministerial committee has been established to ensure Cambodia’s readiness to host the 51st Great Mekong Sub-Region Tourism Working Group meeting and the Mekong Tourism Forum 2023.



Both events will take place in Preah Sihanouk province from April 24 to 28.



The committee consists of 13 members, with Tourism Minister Thong Khon as chairman.



Preah Sihanouk provincial governor Kuoch Chamroeun, Tourism Ministry’s Permanent Secretary of State Tith Chantha, Tourism Ministry Secretary of State Chea Bora, Health Ministry Secretary of State Sann Sab Ey, Culture Ministry Secretary of State Sum Map, and State Secretariat of Civil Aviation Undersecretary of State Sin Chansereyvutha have been assigned as vice-chairmen.



Thong Rathasak, Tourism Ministry Director-General of Tourism Development and International Cooperation, is the permanent vice-chairman of the committee while the rest are members.
