Vietnamese deputy PM to pay working visit to Cambodia next week

PHNOM PENH --Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh will pay a working visit to Cambodia on Aug. 20-21, a Cambodian foreign ministry's statement said on Friday.


During his stay in Phnom Penh, Minh will co-chair with Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn the 17th Meeting of the Cambodia-Vietnam Joint Commission (17th Cambodia-Vietnam JC) for Economic, Cultural, Scientific and Technological Cooperation, the statement said.

 

The meeting has been held regularly aiming to update the progress of cooperation and to explore ways and means to further expand the scope and efficiency of bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, it said.

 

Minh is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen during his stay in Cambodia.
