Eight Cambodian Dead, Seven Wounded in Car Crash in Thailand

PHNOM PENH – Eight Cambodian migrant workers were killed and seven others were injured in an accident between a passenger van and a container truck in Chon Buri province, South West of Bangkok, Thailand.



The accident happened on April 8, according to a letter released by the Embassy of Cambodia in Thailand on April 10, which also stated that the injured people are being treated in a provincial hospital.



“We are deeply sorry for deaths, and we would like to pay our condolence for the loss of their families,” the letter says.



“We also wish the injured people, who are receiving treatment, a speedy recovery,” it added.



Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson An Sokkhoeurn told Cambodianess that the ministry is still waiting for the report on the accident and could not provide any further information.
