Footballer Chanthea Blazes a Trail to Qatar

PHNOM PENH – The president of the Football Federation of Cambodia (FCC) and the manager of Boeung Ket FC hope that player Sieng Chanthea's mission to Qatar goes well and that he can use what he learns to help Cambodia.



Sieng Chanthea, who plays in a forward position, is the first Cambodian to play in Qatar, where he will play in the second division.



Federation president Sao Sokha wished Chanthea success in his journey for himself, his family and Cambodia as a whole.



He advised Chanthea to work hard during his time in Qatar and improve his ability and technique to help the Cambodian national team win in the future.



Be Makara, the general manager of Boeung Ket Football Club, said on Facebook that Chanthea had been the most important player for the club in recent years, and he wished him success in this new mission.



He hoped that the young player has confidence to dream big, and the courage to work hard, which will help produce more high-level players as role models for the next generation of young players.
