PHNOM PENH – Foreigners and citizens who enter Cambodia will be able to fill out an e-Arrival Card online in 2024. This will make travelling to the country more convenient.

The card can be accessed at international airports throughout the country from Jan. 1.

People can fill it out via www.arrival.gov.kh or Cambodia e-Arrival (CeA) app which is available on App Store and Play Store for phones and other electronic devices.

“During this pilot phase, passengers have the option of filling out the form online or by filling in the immigration, customs, and health information form physically,” the Ministry of Interior said.

The implementation phase will start from July 1, 2024 onwards and require all passengers to fill out the information online in one form.

Keo Vanthan, deputy director-general of the General Department of Immigration (GDI), said the GDI will continue to study the possibility of having CeA for international border checkpoints and international ports.

“If there are any technical issues during the pilot phase or passengers have yet to fill out a form online, they can fill the form on paper,” he said.

“However, from July 1, 2024 onwards, all passengers are obliged to fill the form online.”

Chhay Sivlin president of the Cambodian Association of Travel Agents (CATA) said passengers will have two options to choose from, online or in paper form. This would make traveling to Cambodia more convenient as currently they are required to fill out the information only in the paper form.

“As we are living in a digital world, online forms become more preferable for passengers. Thus, I think this online platform will attract more tourists visiting Cambodia,” Sivlin said.
