PHNOM PENH – Northwestern Pailin province aims to install “Donation Houses” in all communes to supply necessities including basic food for low-income families and the needy.

Chea Daneth, administrative director of Pailin Provincial Hall, said the first donation house had just been launched during Pchum Ben in front of the Provincial Hall.

“The provincial administration team prepares 30 to 50 packages of food to place at that donation house per day,” Daneth said.

“Since this establishment was initiated, Pailin province now has three donation houses and is looking for more places.

“Philanthropists can also bring supplies and food into the donation house for the needy as well, in which each family can receive one package,” she added.

One Facebook user named San Vuth posted on his Facebook account that his two sons washed their bags and placed them in the donation house for poor children. He called on the public to donate any materials to the house.

San Vuth’s caption and photos have attracted many Facebook users. Most of them are looking forward to seeing these donation houses in all areas as well as in other provinces.
