Riding on the theme of Discover The Wonderful World of SCIA, families will be treated to two days of educational fun-filled activities at SCIA booths in the Koh Pich Exhibition and Convention Centre on the 19th and 20th October.

Some of these activities include Slime-Making, Building an Emerald City, Making-Your-Own Twirling Copters, Koobits Math, and The Sphero Robots. With Sphero Robots, children are exposed to BLOCK Coding, which serves as an introduction to logic thinking, analytical skills and familiarising the children with the “grammar” of coding. Koobits Math, a Singapore-based software tool, allows children to be more interactive in the classroom, be confident in problem-solving and in showcasing their solutions.

Children also get to create their own clay animation with the help of SCIA teachers to demonstrate their ideas and knowledge. Other fun activities include Ginormous Bubble, Magnetic Fishing and many more!

SCIA students will present a 30-minutes skit - Give Green a Chance, singing to the tune of The Beatles’s Yellow Submarine.  Sharing a message of care for our planet. The Beatles notice that pollution is messing up their home and they set out to tell the birds, the trees and finally the children.

Located in the centre of the exhibition hall, SCIA’s activities mirror their signature programmes in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Entrepreneurship and Leadership developments. Activities and experiments organised at the booths will also reflect SCIA’s holistic approach towards learning in these five domains: Cognitive, Aesthetics, Moral, Physical and Social.

Through these activities, families will experience the kind of learning that takes place at SCIA. SCIA aims to show learning can be fun, and is even more memorable and rewarding when done as a community.
