PHNOM PENH – Contestants of the teams taking part in the Mobile Legends Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup 2023 (MSC 2023) have been praising Cambodia for the hospitality accorded to them.

Cambodia is hosting MSC 2023 for the first time. The event, which started June 10 and runs through June 18, involves 12 strong teams from across Asia as well as from Africa and the United States participating in the tournament’s fifth edition.

The teams have praised the host for the accommodations they have been provided. Players such as Kairi Rayos del Sol of Indonesia’s ONIC Esports and Yawi of ECHO who is the 2022 M4 World Championship champion and the coach of EVO Esports have spoken highly of the warm pre-arrival contacts and the reception of the host.

“Since I arrived in Cambodia, I have seen the fans come to greet me warmly and come to watch the match at the venue,” said Kairi, the famous Mobile Legends e-sports star in Indonesia and the Philippines.

Yawi, whose name is Tristan Cabrera of the Philippines, expressed a similar opinion of the host country. “Cambodia is really good,” he said. “The people here are very kind, they always help when we need something. I especially like the food here.”

Lao-based EVO Esports coach Flashonee had never been to Cambodia. “For the first time, I have come to Cambodia: The host country has been taking good care of us,” Flashonee said.

The 12 teams are competing in four-group qualifying rounds. The top two from each group advance to the next round. Cambodia is represented by Burn x Flash in the tournament.
