Seven Held After Sihanoukville Kidnap Victim Killed

PHNOM PENH – Sihanoukville police have arrested seven people in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a Chinese man.



Two Chinese and five Cambodians were involved in the case, provincial police said. 



The victim was walking on the street in Sangkat 4 before being pushed into a car by the suspects on Nov. 21. 



Police said that the suspects used two cars and each had gun. 



On Nov 22, the victim’s body was found in a canal in Koki village. He was handcuffed and had injuries to his hands, legs and body. 



Police also found three guns, 89 bullets, two handcuffs and three cars. 



Searching for remaining suspects is underway.
