Thousands to Attend the 9th Global Alumni Convention (GAC), Held on 20 - 21 October 2023 in Phnom Penh

The 9th Global Alumni Convention (GAC), Cambodia’s leading forum for international education, career opportunities and business networking, will take place on 20-21 October 2023 at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Hotel.
The GAC is hosted annually by IDP Education, the world leader in international education and student placement services. With over 157 offices in more than 60 countries, a co-owner of the IELTS test, IDP operates the Australian Centre for Education (ACE) in Cambodia.
The GAC will kick off with the Global Alumni Festival gala dinner on Friday 20th October - the social highlight that will bring together alumni and education representatives from around the world, officials from ministries and embassies, entrepreneurs, and leaders from business and civil society. The evening will also celebrate 31 years of IDP’s operation in Cambodia.
Following the Alumni Festival, the GAC will feature the Global Education & Careers Expo on Saturday 21st October allowing education institutions to meet with students and parents to discuss study options and scholarship opportunities available at their respective institutions in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, the UK, Ireland etc.
The Expo includes panel discussions and presentations by industry experts, alumni, scholarship providers on subjects ranging from Study Application Process, Coping with Culture Shock to How to Choose a Major. Information, advice job market and career prospects will also be available directly from international education and employer representatives.
Over 100 institutions representatives of all levels of education (primary, secondary, vocational education, higher education) from across the globe will be at the Expo to entertain 2,000 participants, according to Mr Mao Sreng, GAC Convenor and Country Direct of IDP Education (Cambodia) and ACE.
Established in 2015, the Global Alumni Convention Series is held annually and brings together graduates from Australia, Cambodia, Canada, China, France, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
