PHNOM PENH – Cambodia’s Burn x Flash team advanced to the semi-final of the Mobile Legends: Southeast Asia Cup (MSC 2023) after beating Singapore's RSG Slate SG (RSG) 3-0 on June 15.
In the first match, the RSG team pressed the BXF team in the first few minutes by farming within the BXF’s lane and advanced the BXF with over a thousand golds.
However, the BXF advanced in the Gold Lane in the fifth minute, allowing a BXF member to destroy two of RSG’s turrets in the Experience Lane.
Killing the Lord twice, the BXF eventually defeated the RSG with the second Lord at the 14th minute, getting 14 kills while RSG got only eight kills.
In the second match, both teams got 16 kills. However, the BXF made a comeback, defeating RSG in the 19th minute though the RSG got the second and third Lords with a high possibility of destroying the BXF’s Base Turret.
In the last match, the BXF, however, put pressure on the RSG from the beginning to the end of the battle. The BXF advanced in earning golds, getting kills and even killing the Lord four times. The battle ended in nearly 21 minutes.
With this victory, BXF became the first Cambodia’s E-Sport team to reach the semi-final of the competition.
“I am very proud of myself and the team,” said team member Sou Mara, nicknamed Chma.
“I am proud to be one of the players representing Cambodia in the MSC and also make history for MLBB. My pen still have ink, so I want to write more [history].”
The semi-final will take place on June 17 at the AEON MALL Mean Chey, from 11am. The opponent will be the winner of the match between the Philippine Blacklist International (BLCK) and Turkey’s Fire Flux Impunity (FIMP).
MSC 2023, running from June 10 to 17, is being hosted by Cambodia for the first time. Teams from 10 countries are taking part.
The top-ranked team will win $140,000, while the second gets $60,000. The third and the fourth teams get $15,000.
