Japan To Extent $9.7 million Aid for Land Services

PHNOM PENH – Cambodia and Japan will sign a $9.7 million grant agreement on Oct. 26, to support land surveying and registration. 



Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Japanese Ambassador Ueno Atsushi will sign the exchange of notes and related documents of the grant extension. 



The agreement aims to establish a nationwide “Continuously Operating Reference Station Network”. 



The project will facilitate land surveying, strengthen administrative services on land registration, and promote infrastructure projects. 



The grant will also enhance across-the-board cooperation and strengthen the "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" between the nations, which was effective this year for the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties



“This generous gesture demonstrates Japan's unwavering commitment to assisting the Cambodian government's ongoing endeavours in advancing economic and social development,” the ministry said.
