PHNOM PENH – The Khmer Anti-Poverty Party plans to make trips abroad one of the benefits the party plans to offer public servants, party leader Kravanh Daran said.

“To retired officials, we will give raises so they can support themselves with their wages,” he said. “And there will be travel abroad,” the leader said at the party campaign on July 1 in Sen Sok district in Phnom Penh.

The party also plans to give a monthly allowance and a healthcare card to disabled people, the elders, children, and pregnant women if the party wins the general election, Daran said.  The party also intends to provide people with free Wi-Fi with 6th generation mobile system (6G) internet connection, he said.

The party’s strategy includes the General Education Development program (GED), which outlines a strategy according to which no student would be failing Grade 12 National Exam (BacII exam).

The party would also establish a Royal Military Academy, Daran said, to help strengthen the country’s defense. This project would involve getting trainers and experts from the United States, he said.

“This is one of the reasons the party is named ‘Khmer Anti-Poverty Party:’ It is because we have a planned budget funded by the United Nations, the European Union, and the U.S. to provide for all citizens,” he said. “Cambodians will leave poverty.”

The Khmer Anti-Poverty Party—with a tree as its symbol—stands as the 8th political party listed on the ballots in the general elections that will be held on July 23.
