PHNOM PENH— To ensure hygiene, safety​ and security at the Water Festival, authorities have prepared almost 500 mobile toilets and 10 emergency stations.



Phnom Penh Capital administration spokesperson Met Measpheakdey said toilets will be deployed almost everywhere in the festival area for the public and boat racers.



Emergency stations will have doctors and ambulances for 24-hour services over the three days. Health services will be provided in Chroy Changvar area, where most of boat rowers stay during the event, in front of Royal Palace and in other areas.



Measpheakdey urged visitors to be careful with personal items such as wallets, phones and jewelry as there may be opportunistic thieves.
